Showing help on 'hunger'

Your body: hunger, thirst, drink, toilets and heat

Your body runs on real food, water and air, in real hours while you are connected. It pauses while you are logged off.

Food: what you eat (its real ingredients) is digested over a few hours into energy. Some hours after a meal your stomach growls; later you are hungry, then weak. Without food your body lives on its fat for weeks and finally starves.
Water: you lose water by breathing, sweating and urine, and get it back from drinks and food. You are thirsty about 2% down, then parched, then collapsing; about 15% down is deadly (a few days without water).
Alcohol: blood alcohol rises as drinks are absorbed and your liver clears it at a steady rate: tipsy, drunk, stupor. Very high levels can kill.
Toilets: your bladder and bowel fill from what you eat and drink. Use a toilet (urinate, defecate or relieve on a toilet). Wait too long and you will have an accident.
Heat: your body makes heat and holds itself near 37 C by blood flow, shivering and sweating; shivering and exercise make you hungrier. Clothes keep heat in, wet clothes far less. Very cold or hot places bring hypothermia or heat stroke.

score tells you how you feel. Others can see some signs when they look at you (shivering, unsteady, gaunt, fidgeting). Medical scanners and tricorders read your life signs.
Where the local rules allow death, thirst, starvation, alcohol, cold and heat can kill you.
