group <person> invite someone into your group; they 'accept <you>' or 'decline <you>'.
group see your group: who leads, each row, and where everyone is.
leave leave your group. If you led it, the next member takes over.

When the leader goes through a doorway, everyone who was in the room follows.

Rows and formation, in rooms where people have real positions:
row front | middle | back keep to that row. 'row auto' (the default) goes by what you fight with:
a melee weapon puts you in front; a gun, bow or wand at the back; otherwise the middle.
formation rows front row ahead of the leader, back row behind, each row side by side (the default).
formation column single file, front row first.
formation loose nobody holds a place.
When the leader walks across a room, or the group comes through a doorway, members walk to their places.
The leader walks no faster than the slowest member in the room, so nobody falls behind.

pace walk | pace run how you cross a room when you type a direction. A group keeps its leader's pace.
