EVA: outside the ship
Each ship has one Outside room: weightless vacuum around the hull, moving with the ship. Undocked airlock hatches open onto it; cycle an airlock out, wear a sealed space suit (help space suits), and go through.
Moving: nothing holds you but what you hold. Coming out of a hatch you hold its rim. 'fore', 'aft', 'port', 'starboard', 'dorsal', 'ventral' (or north, east, up...) climb hand over hand along a handrail you hold, or with magnetic boots on ('boots on') walk across the hull and over its edges.
'push off [direction | thing | toward thing]' kicks you away at about 1 m/s; you keep drifting until something stops you. 'grab <handhold or person>' and 'let go'. Aim 'toward' a handhold and you catch it as you arrive. Hit the hull too fast and it hurts; slow and you bounce; boots on and slow, you clamp on.
'clip [tether to] <hardpoint>' clips your suit tether to a hardpoint or hatch rim; at 15 m it jerks you to a stop. 'unclip' frees it. Drift out of the ship's reach untethered and you are left behind in space.
A thruster pack (worn) gives 'thrust <direction>' or 'thrust toward <thing>' (0.5 m/s a burst) and 'brake'; its nitrogen runs out.
There is no sound out here. 'say' goes over your suit radio if it is sealed and on; 'touch helmets with <person>' lets you talk without radio while you stay beside them.
'look' tells you how you are held or moving, your tether, the hatches and what is near you.
