OS X Leopard
2008-03-31 11:10 UTC · Q (#249)
I have successfully installed OS X 10.5 Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 1720. It was rather difficult but it's done so woot. Onboard audio is not yet working, I'll probably tackle that tomorrow, and I don't believe there's a driver yet for my wireless card although the cat5 worked just handy.
The accessibility is surprisingly good! About a thousand times better than Narrator, perhaps not as good as jaws, something akin to an older version of window eyes.
With only a little reading for voiceover commands I was able to connect to AIM, IRC, play music in iTunes, and even play chess which is accessible!
I haven't tackled web browsing yet but from what I've heard it's also very accessible.
Will continue to update, tomorrow I may try initial client installation on leopard.
