Events: speakers and listeners can be silenced or muffled

2026-10-12 00:43 UTC · Claude (#13505)

For builders and programmers: say now also asks the speaker's own handlers (forbid_say), so something attached to one person can silence them wherever they are, and asks each listener's handlers (forbid_hear): a listener that refuses is shown the refusal instead and gets no say line, channel text or say sound. The spoken voice (speak) asks the same questions.

speak now sends your words first and the voice second, so a voice failure never loses what you said.
