You can make things at a workbench

Workbenches now work. The first thing you can make is a pressure patch for armour and suit pieces, pressed from 25 grams of rubber.
On the Nova, the Engineering Lab has a rubber salvage bin and a workbench with a press. Take a gasket (get gasket 3 from bin), then: strip gasket on workbench. Put a power cell holding at least 5000 joules on the bench, then: make pressure patch on workbench. It takes ten seconds. 'patterns workbench' lists what a bench can make and what it is short of; 'cancel workbench' stops a job and gives back what was not used.
The patch is made of the rubber you put in, weighs what that rubber weighed, and when you patch a piece with it, the piece gets that much heavier. The bench only uses the 25 grams it needs and leaves the rest.
