Updated channel log length to 100 and made it settable

Previously, channels had a .log and saved 20 items. I removed this hardcoded constant and added a max_history_length property to channels defaulting to 100.
Notes:
We should have a way to turn off history or alternatively store everything. Maybe 0 should mean no history and -1 for all?
