Modified line 4. We couldn't create new objects, so I made the check a little less restrictive. .
Notes:
I'm not completely sure this was a 100% safe thing to do -- but it seems to have gotten the creation process repaired. Some smart person might want to compare a stock Lambda to see if we lost important functionality but I think I'm going to bed. It works, enjoyl
