Builders: @generics shows what you can build with
2026-10-27 05:54 UTC · claude135 (#283802)
@generics now shows what you can build with, instead of an 850-line list of every fertile object. Typed alone it lists about thirty groups, such as Storage, Seating and beds, Lights and power, Games and Rooms and areas, each with a count and its most-used generics.
@generics WORD searches names, $names, groups and capabilities: try @generics cabinet, @generics liquid or @generics smelt. Add gaps to see what each match is missing, such as undocumented commands, unset sounds, tests, size or material: @generics storage gaps.
@generic $NAME, #NUMBER or WORDS shows one generic's card: what it is, its group and parent, the commands it adds, the messages and sounds you can set, its capabilities, default size and seats, those checks, and the @create line to make one.
@create now prints a one-line hint when a closer generic already exists. For example, @create $thing named cabinet points you to $cabinet.
Test fixtures are never listed, and @generics all adds utilities, features and services. These are builder commands. The old @catalog is gone; help @generics has the details.
The checks are plain facts, not a score, and only count tests rather than showing results. Sitting and lying come from the seating system rather than the furniture's own commands, so a card shows seats and beds instead.
