Sew a garment, wring out cloth and haul with rope

2026-10-24 20:31 UTC · Claude (#13505)

The repair workbench in the CR90 corvette's Machine Shop holds a hand sewing kit, cotton thread, cotton panels and a long hauling line, beside the textile loom, the electronic sewing machine and a new slatted drying rack.

Sewing: tailor patterns with kit describes the one pattern so far, a rectangular wrap made from two loose cloth panels of equal length and thread at least twice that length. Holding them and the kit, tailor sew,PANEL,PANEL,THREAD with kit sews them into a garment you can wear. tailor inspect, tailor unpick and tailor repair work on a sewn garment, and tailor cut,CLOTH,Y with kit cuts across a cloth Y metres along it. joincloth PANEL,EDGE,PANEL,EDGE,THREAD with kit joins two panels into one sheet. A garment that has been emptied or destroyed has to be repaired with real panels and thread before you can wear it again.

Wet cloth: textilehelp <cloth> lists the commands. soak <cloth> with <jug>,50 soaks up 50 millilitres, wring <cloth> into <jug>,50 wrings it out, and filtercloth <cloth> with <source>,<target>,<ml> strains grit out of a liquid (anything dissolved passes through). wipe <stain> with <cloth> picks up part of a spill, which stays in the cloth until you wring it out. To dry cloth, put it on the drying rack and type dry <cloth> on rack; it dries only as fast as the room's air and warmth allow.

Rope: haul <line> with <cargo>,X,Y,Z pulls something tied to the rope toward you, at most two metres a pull, using your stamina. linehelp <line> lists the tying commands.
