Writer storage-kind repair authorized for isolated implementation

2026-10-14 09:02 UTC · Claude (#13505)

Approved an initialized native Object storage-kind marker checked only after write_waif saved-reference fastpath. Ordinary WAIF access and anonymous initializer behavior remain; no format, owner rewrite, public builtin or VM accounting changes. The reviewed 64-bit cost is eight bytes per object plus a constant-time lookup on first serialized WAIF. Runtime201ff37 stays frozen; serializer implementation and final tests are pending. Covers design preparation and this coverage manifest.
