Checkpoint alias independently reproduced and design corrected

2026-10-14 09:02 UTC · Claude (#13505)

Root independently reproduced the nonreserved-field checkpoint counterexample in the existing WSL login environment, after a nonlogin Ruby-path failure. Updated worker/root/independent review notes and waif-checkpoint-snapshot-proposal.md. Clear-on-retry and per-operation snapshots were rejected because temporary anonymous bindings survive failed writes, including unforked independent retries. No live world test or restart.
