The fresh default-Claude writer saved both scoped sources through normal editor commands and quit. Original process identities were independently checked, and their processes are now gone. Numeric character-slot reuse is not treated as the old writer's identity. Transcript display truncated full readback, so root is forcing a fresh checkpoint for complete independent source review. Covers source-stage/protocol appends and the supported handoff's second source scope.
