I got speakup working

I got speakup working with a software synthesizer.

ESpeak really sucks, but is very responsive, sometimes it talks over itself.

festival sounds better, but it's quite slow.

I still haven't gotten DECTalk to work.

There is an option for IBMTTS, but I doubt I can find that anywhere that'll work.

there are some others listed, but I dunno what they are.

next project is orca with gnome.

Linux by default doesn't seem to allow multi-channels on the soundcard, must figure out how to do this.
